The Jasmine

Some flavors in cocktails just come together seamlessly.  Whether it be luck of the draw or the keen palate of the creator, when you come upon the perfect assemblage of ingredients, it is something special.  Today we share with you the Jasmine cocktail.  It is the creation of Paul Harrington, author of Cocktail: The Drinks Bible for the 21st Century.  It has a fantastic pinkish hue from just the right touch of Campari.  The beauty of the Jasmine is in its simplicity, only requiring four common bar staples to craft.  If you love the negroni, if you love the Cosmo, the Jasmine will be right up your alley.  

The Jasmine

In a shaker glass filled with ice add:

• 1½ Ounces Gin
• ¼ Ounce Campari
• ¼ Ounce Cointreau
• ¾ Ounce Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

Shake well and strain into a chilled martini saucer.  Garnish with a lemon twist.
