Exception, Not Rule … Great Pinot Noir under $15

Finding great Pinot Noir Under $15 is a chore.  We taste countless expressions that quite frankly, don’t cut it.  Why?  Pinot is finicky.  It requires attention in the vineyard as well as balanced climate conditions.  It can only achieve it’s best when grown in a harmonious environment with adequate sun tempered by cool, crisp air.  All of this adds up to being labor intensive and exacting with vineyard placement.

Red Quartz is one of our favorite examples of Pinot Noir with bright, focused aromas, balance of fruit to acidity, and a price point that quenches our thirst for value.  This delicious wine hails from Chile’s cool climate of Casablanca Valley.  Positioned just fourteen miles from the Pacific Ocean grown soils rich in red quartz.  It’s in this ideal orientation where the vineyards produce exceptional Pinot Noir.
