Frescobaldi Nipozzano Chianti

Just hearing the name Frescobaldi conjures thoughts of wild boar ragu and grated pecorino cheese.  To say their synonymous with Tuscany might just be an understatement.  They have 9 estates throughout Tuscany and among them, the famous Castello Nipozzano nestled into the steep hillsides of Chianti Rufina.  Sitting just north of Chianti Classico, Rufina has some of the biggest diurnal shifts in the greater Chianti region.  Fancy talk for the differences between the warmest daytime temperatures and the coldest nighttime.  This may seem trivial, but we can assure you this is the detail which makes this wine shine vintage after vintage.
